River Levels website

If you ahve ever wanted to check the river levels, but got lost in the Environment agency website, here is the site for you. is a site put together to present the information that the environment agency gathers, but which is generally not readily available to the public or in an easily accessible format. This page is for Beverley shipyard, data that we didn't even know was available online! It's also very usefull for checking levels on other rivers.

We would like to thank the authors at and offer our support for their work, and encourage you to have a look at their site, both for info on the river Hull and for cruising further afield.

Thanks to the information contained in the website, I have now located the available height data on the environment agency website and placed links here for all. The links will open the relevant EA website pages in another window. Please note that the water level is recorded once per day, at 0515, so you need to cross reference this with our tid tables but it is still valuable information. The environment agency record the river level every 15 minutes, this data is used to propeare the graphs on their website.

Beverley Shipyard water level

 Hull Victoria pier water level

The environment agency have many more height sensors on the river that are not available online, it would be very interesting and valuable to be able to get this data made available, hopefully this will one day become possible,

The Beverley Beck Boating Association are intending to provide more detailed information on the tides and navigation on the river hull for the benefit of all users over the next few months, our pages will be expanded with teh aim of encouraging use of the river and assisting vistors to come to the river Hull.

A committee meeting was held on the 6th November, where a rough schedule of events for the rest of this year and the beginning of next was discussed. Some events have been confirmed and will be added to the web calendar, others are still in the planning stage and more information will be added later.

Christmas Dinner

Next event is our christmas dinner on the 14th December in Beverley..

A deposit of £5 per head to the Treasurer Adrian Moore please by 30th November at the latest to secure your places. Please send your completed meal selections to the Social secretary by the 20th November.

Booking form and Menu

The mad Scots' January 1st BBQ

Cancelled as the mad Scot is regretfully otherwise engaged.

Our website coordinator has a tradition of BBQ'ing on the 1st of January! After a pint at the end of the committee meeting, at least one member was heard to state 'I'm up for that' so it looks like there may be more people involved this year! Be warned, 1st January 2013 vas very cold, survival suits were worn, but it was a beautiful clear night and I'll be doing it I'm here, so if anyone wants to join me please let me know! If there are several boats involved, the plan will be to go to Hemphome for the night of the 1st January

Our AGM has been scheduled for the 9th April 2014, again in the Foresters 19:30 for 2000 with a buffet and drinks afterwards. Please come along and support the organisation if you can make it.

Litter Pick

We intend to hold our normal litter pick day in conjunction with the IWA, date to be confirmed.

Early season cruise

An early season cruise to North Frodingham was discussed, as we have done in earlier years, however it was felt that a cruise to Hull Marine for a night, possibly to coincide with the official opening of the ERYC viitor berths on Beverley Beck would be a better idea and a good shakedown cruise following the winter. The exat date to be confirmed but the weekend after Easter is a possibilitiy.

Cruise to Trout Inn, Wansford

The committee discussed the posibility of a dinghy cruise to the Trout inn at Wansford. This would likely entail taking larger boats to Brigham, then proceeding by dinghy to the Trout inn the following day. Beverley Boat Hire have stated that they may be able to make boats available for this for people who would like to go but do not have theur own dinghies.

North Frodingham cruise

The traditional North Frodingham cruise will take place at the end of the summer once all the travelling boats come back, probably in September as in the last few years but the date will be decided nearer the time.

Yard Tidy day

This years yard tidy day was not a great success, with only one person (thank you Mr Chairman!)managing to  turn up. Unfortunately a lot of members had other committments, work, and an assortment of other 'good excuses' but we would like to make the effort to get together for the annual tidy up next year.

September Cruise in company PDF Print E-mail

Saturday, 24 August 2013 10:30

Our annual cruise in company on the 7th and 8th September was a great success, with an appalling forecast during the wek turning out to be a glorious weekend! 8 boats in all participated, with 7 meeting at North Frodigham wharf for our annual croquet tournament (the cup has gone home with last year's winner again - has she been practising?) followed by pie and peas in our marquee.

Sunday dawned beautiful and sunny, without a breath of air or a cloud in the sky, and it was a very leisurely start indeed before managing to take the tent down in record time, and almost completely dry!

Diana and Hamish once again arranged a BBQ lunch at Hempholme, before the boats cruised back to Beverrley and all fast on moorings by just after 5pm

Many thanks to all for making the effort to come for the weekend in the face of what looked to be a wet weekend, you got the reward due in great company and beautiful weather.

I have addee a North Frodignham 2013 gallery to the website, but not uploaded any photos yet as I've left my camera cable on the boat!
